I bought some whites lochsa hunter boots last year and they have worn a hole in the flex portion on the back behind the ankle. I called whites and they said they will not work on them “but could recommend a place or two” around spokane. I understand not providing a warranty on them but I would think they would at least fix them for a charge. They maybe have 100 miles on them so it sucks because I was happy with them up to this point. Does anyone have any recommendations for a place that could fix them around the Thurston county area? Thanks

Seems odd that whites won’t work on them, a buddy of mine just had a set of kenetreks and a set of la sportivas rebuilt at whites a few weeks ago.. pretty reasonable also

Also weird. It says right on their website they’ll only work on Whites boots.

That is weird… maybe the guy wasn’t understanding what I was asking? He was pretty quick to tell me no and kind of short with me which was kind of irritating. Maybe I will give them a call again

That's kind of crazy. I had a pair of my Grampa's White's caulk boots rebuild there right after the Mtn. blew. I know it's been a few years, but I'd think they would still do that. My son-n-law has his built over there, and I think he has them rebuild them there still. After I wore out all my hand me down boots, I switched to West Coast, only because they were closer.

Whites hunting line of boots are not made in Spokane therefore they do not carry the same warranty

Dave Page shoe repair in Seattle.
He has a website and he is top notch!

There is a place just south of the Great wolf, and junction bar and grill. Grand mound area, so fairly close to you, might be worth checking out. Has been there quite awhile.....

It's odd that they won't repair Thie's boots, regardless of being hunters or not. Here's two statements from their website:
"WHICH BOOT STYLES CAN BE REBUILT?
All of our premium Handsewn Stitchdown styles and standard Stitchdown styles can be fully rebuilt."
"WHAT IS NOT REPAIRABLE?
On a rare occasion, we’ll receive boots that are past the point of rebuilding. Typically, this is due to the quarters/uppers being deteriorated."
https://whitesboots.com/repairs/
I'd call them back.

My last few experiences with Whites and Nicks led me to look elsewhere for work boot repair. I took a pair of Nicks in need of repair to the Shoe repair man in Wenatchee near Stans. Super good guy. Made my Nicks better then new. I took the rest of my Nicks/Whites work shoes into him not long after. This repair man has a TON of work, so its not a quick turn, but is a testament to is great work. May want to give him a try.
