Title: Meet Kumpel
Post by: metlhead on July 11, 2024, 08:32:27 PM: Well, here we go again. Another little rocket to contain. Big shoes to follow with Der Panz. A month of farm awareness then straight into lessons. Little fella gots to grow to get in a few hunts this fall.

Post by: metlhead on July 18, 2024, 04:08:59 PM: Wife's spaniel was to replace the little dog 3 years ago. That thing just won't quit going. Kumpel pup is to back up der Panz who may only have a few seasons left. We discovered that we generally like our dogs more than we do other folks.

Post by: metlhead on September 02, 2024, 12:06:26 PM: Walking down a road and a strange sniff crossed Kumpel's nose. Little fella froze and couldn't figr why his body wouldn't move. Left him stuck for a bit and dicovered some huns in the ditch. Me thinks he'll be fine.

Post by: metlhead on September 02, 2024, 12:50:51 PM: Thank you. He is quite a handful and soon will grow into those legs. He has really taken to 10yo Panzer and is handling great. No ducks for him this year but some late season quail shall be his introduction. Those legs are really gonna open up in Nevada next season

Post by: metlhead on January 18, 2025, 05:53:37 PM: Kumpel has really talen off and become not only a great back up to Der Panzer but is getting into his own points as well. Gorgeous last weekend on the eastside and really good numbers of quail. Only one per covey and solid walkup points getting the shot has really got the young fella calmed.

Glad he made it. I know others not so lucky. Great looking dog and sounds like he's learning quick. I love my GWP!

Post by: metlhead on February 19, 2025, 05:00:51 PM: Thanks. Sure awful to see the life just drain out of these high energy pups. He'll be on released chuks and gubmnt roosters all summer. Going into October full assault with high expectations. Salmon poisoning is an illness critters can get if they ingest dead fish that are infected with a certain parasite that comes from a snail? Very deadly for domestic dogs if not treated.
