Title: Westport fishing report
Post by: baldopepper on July 21, 2024, 10:06:36 AM
Went out with a couple friends yesterday. Hot and heavy early for the coho, but the kings were hard to find.  Got one good one, but couldn't keep the coho off most of the time. Seemed to be what most of the other boats were reporting.  Went pretty quite around 10-11 am then started to get a bit breezy so we called it.  Fun fishing if you like action, coho were decent size but most of the bigger ones were wilds.

I was out there on 7/27 and 7/28. Fished straight out in 285’ of water lots of coho but found several kings.  Most Kings were 10-12# but ended up with 4 around 20#. Fishing plugs 70-90’ on the wire.
All the fish were plugged with herring and looked like footballs.

Been looking into charters or any open seat for my 14 yr old daughter and I.
Any suggestions?
