Pretty sad. To be able to legally take several trophy animals and not be satisfied. I hope they slam him with maximum fines and jail time.
-
I’ve heard of “trespass fees” before. Pretty sneaky way of getting around “not selling” the actual tag.
-
Makes me want to buy 640+ acres in unit 54...

20 years in prison sounds reasonable if I was the judge.
We don’t have many officers, only 1 for my county now but they do good work. Been helping mine out since last year who is currently building a pretty damn good case.

Wildlife violations across the board should be steeper than they are.

Same thing goes on in WA fyi

I would think this could also effect his employment since he is in a high profile position.
-
I think this old boy has what they call FU money…
He had a dream season lined up (legally) and still cheated/poached….i don’t get it?
-
I’m curious if more charges are to come for the guy that bought these tags. What about the other landowner that have been selling there tags.

I Don’t get it either. But like I always say it’s a good thing we don’t understand it because you would have to be like them to understand them. I would’ve been thrilled for a season with half the animals he could legally kill.

If found guilty they need to really start imposing massive judgements
-
All the money to hunt where ever he wants and he cheats.
Just dumb. :dunno:

It does, but they’ll probably fine him $2000 and credit for time served and he will do the same next season

Don’t you have one for sale :chuckle: just kidding
No bull tags in Washington though

I’m not a fan of the article title. This is about blatant poaching trophy animals in trophy units. Someone has a burr in their saddle about the LAP tag program. That’s like blaming the Supertag program for what happened.
Just seems silly to focus on LAP tags. I had that helicopter fly over me while hunting last year…I read every page of the report. The poaching, the flying during season/hunting same day…those are the major issues I have.

That guy should get a lifetime hunting ban, prison time and a huge fine.
That's just disgusting.
