And yes, just like the thread title states, Kevin starts off the interview with a story of a guy in Zimbabwe injuring tearing his rotator cuff and shattering the windshield of his Land Cruiser with a single shot from one of these rifle cartridges.

Post by: wadu1 on August 22, 2024, 09:09:48 PM: The 577 Snider is a mild cartridge it's an old British military round. It's big and slow 1300 FPS, I've shot it in a carbine about the same recoil as a 20ga.

You are correct. I've never shot the 577 Snider, but I've shot the 577/450 derived from it pretty extensively.
Those two cartridges are by far the least powerful out of all discussed in this episode though.
