So campers, all the draws have been done this year in ours and the good elk states (grin), what is your primary elk weapon of choice or by default this year to bring Mr Wapiti (or Mrs Wapiti to be PC correct) home for dinner this year?
-
No tag but I would use a 9.3X62, good for bears as well.
-
Sound wisdom mister.

:yeah: same here.
It will be in NE for me. Which is a roll the dice .
They pretty much ghost me every year on private property.
-
Usually have a bow in hand but this year I'll be packing a CVA .50 cal muzzy on my eastern WA elk hunt.
-
Archery, western WA. Drew a good tag and I’ve done some scouting and have a couple trail cams up. The elk are around, unfortunately I won’t get out until the later half of the season but I have a full week available to be out there.

I'm Archery.
I only have limited time for hunting and like it when every tag in my pocket is valid.
.
-
Archery Montana end of next week and both of my Mathews are traveling with me
-
Eastern WA rifle. Spending vacation time on deer season so will probably only make it out for a weekend, but will take the 6.5 needmoor. About time to cash in on points in some better states...
-
Bow then Remmy 700, have a MT "multi-season" tag in my pocket. :chuckle: Maybe I'll even go back in January.
-
We have 7 elk tags in Wyoming and I will probably hunt a day or two here in Washington too. Browning MK3 BAR in 300 Win Mag always does the trick.
-
Western Wa
7mag Christensen ridgeline
-
Idaho rifle. Possibly a day or two WA archery.
-
Carrying the smokpole this year. Knight bighorn. Have an eastern wa cow tag in my pocket
-
Oregon second season snake river bull elk. Seekins precision 7PRC.
-
Same 30-06 I've drug into the woods for the last 30+ years.
Might give the Rem 700 a rest and give the BAR a turn.
-
Hunting all the weapons and all the general tags. 😎
-
I’m hunting Oregon archery and then Idaho and Washington deer and elk with my rifle. 300 WM where I have to shoot far and my compact 06 when I’ll be in timber.
