going to give idaho a shot next yr for black bear with my son. im a disabled vet so the tag is a good deal. think of using my 6.5 creedmor with 140 grain eld x bullets. ive done a little bear hunting on the westside. but i think may have a better chance filling a tag in idaho. was thinking of going with a 300 win mag instead.i know shot placement is probably more key than caliber from what i have read. reading alot of info on this forum and online learned alot.
