Title: Cutting edge Maximus line
Post by: jasnt on September 18, 2024, 07:52:10 PM
Just picked up some for my 243.  Wondering if anyone here has experience with this line of bullets and how they liked em.

Tagging along to see what you think.  Never shot them but have looked at them a couple times. Would be curios to know how easy they are to load for and what kind of accuracy you get out of them.  The price is right on their clearance priced bullets.

ya when I seen that 500 count on clearance I jumped on it.

So far I’ve been surprised by the speed.  My starting load was 3500 fps.  I haven’t seen anything like that in 243 except the 58gr vmax  in my 28” barrels.   This is a 26” barrel.

I loaded up a few more last night for a few group tests today with out the magneto speed on.

I shoot Hammer Hunters (HH's or HHT's) in a lot of my rifles now and they are fast as well.  They are a more expensive bullet, but dang are they accurate...... And super easy to load for.  That said, they are double the price of these Cutting Edge bullets.  I wouldn't change for hunting purposes, but for cheaper range ammo.....may have to look at these.  May even look at these for varmint loads so I don't cry when shooting whistle pigs.   :chuckle:
