Happy Turkey Day!
I was looking around at Sportsman (Federal Way) last night and ran into some gamehide hunting wear. They had a nice looking two or three in one jacket that was marked at $129 from $179 (ball park). I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Gamehide hunting wear?
Their website is set up very well showing all their products. http://www.gamehide.com/ (http://www.gamehide.com/)

bought my girlfriend some of the pants that pack into their own lightweight pocket for her first season this year and she says they're great. pretty quality stuff.

Bought the Gamehide Upland hat in Michigan while hunting grouse. I really like the material...it's some sort of microtex that does not soak up my sweat and drys off quickly.

I hate the Crap i have... As with all waterproof stuff it doesn't breathe... I sweat badly in mine. But that is my expierence.
I started using wool. If it gets wet i am still warm, and that is what i care about...

guess you get both ends of the spectrum dbake. :P

I just stopped by Sportco today and took a look at gamehide again, it is some nice stuff but the jacket I am thinking about they do not have in stock. I noticed another brand that was a two in one jacket, although I forget the brand name. I guess I will make another stop sooner than later! :chuckle:

I have 2 gamehide jackets.
1 i love, the other one works fine for the money i paid for it, but as wdfw said, it doesn't breathe very well. it is a 3 in 1 or 2 in 1 or something jacket that i picked up on sale at joe's before turkey season '06. it served it's purpose and has continued to serve well for the $80.00 i payed for it. you can spend a whole hell of a lot more on a jacket than that, and i would expect a lot more out of an expensive jacket. for the price, it works well. i got what i paid for...
the other jacket is an upland hunting jacket and it works fine.

I've had a few of the Gamehide gore-tex jackets, one I lost but I still have two. I think they're great for the money. One thing to keep in mind is that the sizes (at least for me) seem to run a little small. I normally where a large, but with a large Gamehide jacket it fits, but barely. There's not much room for extra layers underneath. Next time I get a Gamehide jacket it will be an extra large.

the coats have always kept me water proof, and i havnt had no problem with them not breathin. but i dont get the insulated ones i get to hot from all the hiking i do, so maybe thats why

Although that jacket (forgot the brand name) I saw today at Sportco is really interesting.
