Let's use this thread as a place to put some reports of what guys are seeing(or not) on the east slope of the cascades. From I90 north, I've heard a few reports that this year is very slow so far. Hopefully that changes with the weather system that is starting up.

By all the responses and bucks posted I’d say they are slaying them up north. Spent opening weekend North of Wenatchee somewhere and glassed up two does, hot weather, super bright moon, and wolves howling 500 yards from the tent. SLOW.

It's been rough for me so far. Been hunting in the Lake Wenatchee area and the animals aren't moving much. Couple nocturnals on my cameras but the trails I am sitting on I haven't seen a damn thing. Saw plenty of bucks this summer but as suspected they have disappeared this Fall.
Pretty disappointed so far. Might go up into the Entiat to look around but with the heavy rain forecast not sure how promising thatll be. Probably gonna just still hunt the timber near home to see if something gets kicked up. Not getting my hopes up.

One of my daughters got a basket rack 4 point on Sunday and another got a little 3 point yesterday. Its been slow though. The local butcher shop where we hang our deer only has a handful of bucks in the cold room (40' refrigerated storage container) where they are usually half full by now...

It's been very rough and quiet, at least from where my hunt group was at 101. We usually get at least two hanging on the first day. Nine of us hunting different spots. First tag was a bear on the 5th day. Checked the other camps in the area and counted less than 3 camps with meat hanging. It's eerily quiet on the mountain.
