Title: Bull elk 6x7 success in the Wenas
Post by: Darian on October 22, 2024, 09:02:14 PM: Thanks to those that helped me fill this 6x7 bull tag--especially the one who lives there in Selah. What a dream hunt of spotting, stalking, sneaking on hand and knees to bedded down elk and finding just the antler tips of a massive 6x7 bull bedded down in the grass. Waited 30 minutes for him to finally stand up and dropped him on the spot. This was not just my success, thanks to all those that helped. Enlarge bedded elk pic and look to the far left. That was a long 30 minutes of waiting for him to stand up.

I’ve been helping another tag holder who’s in his mid 70’s, but we havnt been able to drop the hammer yet.

When you called while I was deer hunting with the success story I was super happy for you!! Me and Ryan figured we would be spending this weekend helping you but you got it done on opening day! Post by: Darian on October 24, 2024, 09:14:45 AM: All thanks to your help Dave. Your suggestion to ask every deer hunter you come across if they have seen elk gave me lots of tips. It's also so helpful to have someone who love spotting elk have you on speed dial.
