Title: Western Montana euro Taxidermist
Post by: CaNINE on November 22, 2024, 04:01:23 PM
A buddy and I each killed a buck in East Montana. Since we can’t legally transport the heads back into Washington we are looking to drop the heads as close to the border and off I-90 as possible for euro mounts.  Missoula area or west. Any recommendations?

Not sure where your at but we have used Tru-Life taxidermist in Laurel Montana. I know its not as close as you would like but we have had atleast 6 euros done here and you wont be disappointed. They will send it to you as soon as its done so you dont have to worry about driving to pick up! Congrats on the success!

Add a day and boil your heads.

Boiking only shows some effort... the regs says no tissue so unless you also bring a pressure waaher and have a hose hook uo your going to be hard pressed to be 100% legal bringing euros into the state

A coat hanger, a knife, and boiling while removing all soft tissue is all you need to do.

Brian Reynolds - Immaculate Taxidermy in St. Regis Montana - 406-529-2131.  He did a great job on an elk for me last year and the price was reasonable.

Don't need a pressure washer. Just stop in a town boil the heads and then head to the local car wash and blast the skull clean.

If you've got the patience of a saint, a couple willow twigs and water, you can get it squeaky clean. Takes a while but sure as hell doesn't take two days waiting for a professional euro  :chuckle:
