-
I'm a Martin man too. They will have to pry the Martin SlayR from my cold dead hand... :yike: :chuckle:
-
My buddy has a bengal and says its very forgiving. martin alson has a rytera line up that is amazing. I have a bullet x. The alien looks mind boggling.
-
Slayer Extreme is my Huckleberry. I have always owned Martin Bows.
-
nice to see some other martin shooters on here.I like the idea that they are made in walla walla
-
my back up bow is my original Martin cougar magnum 2000. Very forgiving and still shoots good for a 10 year old bow!!
-
another rytera shooter here i have the triad though
-
I certainly enjoy my MOAB !
-
I've got an '02 or '03 Phantom with the magnum limbs. Just up graded to a new rest and next payday it gets a new string. I love it and can't complain as it shoots 315-320 ftps.
I do like the new '09 MOAB and wish the misses would let me get one.
-
i had an alien for about 4 days :P then i sold it... never even tried it out.
-
Martin IMO makes the best bows for the $. thier economy line is a great value for the $$ I used to have a martin phantom 2 before I started shooting Hoyt.... The new warthog is not a bad bow either, I shot about 40 shots through my buddies awhile back and at 350fps IBo its smoother then any of the other speed bows I have shot ( reezen, x- force, monster ) and it draws a little smoother IMO as well
-
I'm an '04 Phantom II shooter. Love it. Just afraid to shoot any of the new bows, don't know if I'd make a mistake and buy one!
-
Any of you Phantom II shooters know it you can add the CCS or the STS to the bow?
-
I certainly enjoy my MOAB !
:yeah: i love my martin moab. its also convient for me since martin archery is located in my town.
-
that old fury got me hooked on bow hunting , hated to retire a bow with so many kills , technology caught up. Never had a martin fail me , If you like the way it feels sounds like you found your new hunting partner . You do talk to your bow right ?
-
You do talk to your bow right ?
I do everytime I'm wearing short sleeves and I get slapped with the string while not wearing an arm guard.
-
I had a bengal when they first came out I absolutely loved how it shot....but it went through three sets of limbs in a year and a half. It shot a real tight group all the way to 65 yards but I just got tired of switching limbs out.
I sold it to a buddy because of how good it shot.
-
yeah i heard about those and from what i have been told is that problem has been fixed,I have only shot mine a couple of times at cabelas when i was deciding what bow to get and you are right it shoots very nice
-
Can you guys explain the limb problem on the Bengal? When did they fix it, where can I read about it, etc?
I've looked around, can't find any information. :) Thanks!
-
I just p/u my new martin bengal from cabelas.Cant wait to fling some more arrows.Sweet bow.Now i am going to have to sell my bear showdown bow
-
I am new to this site, but have read many of the posts and appreciate the knowledge and sharing that takes place. I have only been archery hunting for 2 years, or hunting at all for that matter. My father in-law got me interested, and now I have the bug. I have a Martin Ryterra Bullet X, and just bought the Warthog. I have only shot about 30 arrows, but like the way it shoots. Been working too much, and need to spend some time with the bow. Thanks for all the insights. I will contribute where I feel appropriate, yet as I said, I am pretty new.....
-
welcome to the site and that warthog is a sweet bow
-
Every person i hunt with shoots a Martin. We all love them. I have a MOAB and I'm not sure when or why i would ever need to buy another bow. It is great! The best part about Martin is their customer service it is unrivaled. You made a great choice you will not be sorry.
-
Thanks guys. I shot for about an hour tonight and I am happy with the new bow. I am in Bellingham, but they are right in your back yard Cory. I know that there are a lot of good bows out there today, and a lot of the guys on here have shot a bunch of them.
-
Nice to see more martin shooters on here.I think martins are way under rated and over looked.

The sets I cracked were right in the forks everytime? I bought it the first year they came out and I could never get an explaination other than" That just happens with a solid limb" I don't totally buy that but they never had an issue of gettin me a new set or sending them to a dealer that wasn't a Martin guy. So I'm really not that upset with them, but I just didn't want to have my limbs give out in mid August every year :dunno:
-
Just went out and shot my new bengal sweeeeet
-
Glad you like it Hunt. Time to keep flinging arrows and get it zeroed in. I have some work to do with my new bow still. As far as being under rated or overlooked that is OK by me. I did see that Hoyt felt they were a good bow company and good bang for the buck. I just hope they stay in business in these times for years to come.
-
I am new to site and i would like to add to the list of Martin shooters. I have an 07 Martin Bengal, and my 4 year old son shoots a Martin ultra lite tiger. Got my Bengal from Cabelas on Christmas vacation in Texas. Great shooting bow.
-
I shoot Bowtech, but my friend was on more of a budget and got a Martin and loves it, I shot it and really liked it, Really smooth and forgiving.
-
Iv shot Martin Bows since I started BowHunting in 1989 started with Lynx back when sight pins covered most of animal..lol..Now shoot a Martin Slayer Pro Series and love it..Who needs 350 fps. Just miss faster..lol
-
Martin makes a quality bow at a decent price, their customer service is outstanding and its great that they are made in Washington state.
-
Another Martin shooter here!!
I got the 09 Martin MOAB and found it to be a very nice bow.
I don't have a lot of experience with other bow to compare to but think it woiuld be hard to find a sweeter shooter. :chuckle:
-
Yeah I like the martin bows , I bought A cheetah last year and was very happy with it .I seen this year the cheetahs come new with a drop away rest were last they were whisker biscuits. All the guys I hunt with all use martins and have all seemed to be happy with them.
-
I am new to bow hunting this year. Will be using one of those old martin lynx's. If it worked then it should work fine now. I will probably upgrade before next year though, now that I am into it.
-
I know some one that just pulled his old lynxs out of the closet said it was a nice bow
-
Got into archery last year and bought the 2008 Martin FireCat. The Bengal I shot was smoother with the different cams than the FireCat, but I went with the more aggresive cams and newer FireCat at the time. I love it, but would also be very happy with the Bengal. Hoping for my first archery kill next week!
