Title: Duck Hunting Southwestern WA
Post by: Mukeymadness123 on December 07, 2024, 08:49:14 PM
Just moved to Buckley and I’ve been looking at Grays Harbor county for some public land duck hunting. That seems to be the closest place to go.

Wife and I just had a baby last month, so with work and family I haven’t had to time to take a weekend and scout, and my 3 year old lab has been dying to get out. I have done some reading on some spots but any help or advice would be awesome. Feel free to PM me and if you’re interested I have a dog and a decent amount of decoys and wouldnt mind a hunting partner either! Thanks in advance!

The most birds I have seen out here are on locked down swamp/farming land with no hunting access, which seems to be the 'normal' everywhere. Maybe a guided hunt to get a feel for the area? I have not looked into them here, but I presume there are some that do it.

Used to do a lot of duck hunting launching from the mouth of johns river and hunt the high tide on the main island out there. Seemed to do better out there during cold dry spells.
