I have several pics of this bear, but this is one of the best. how big do you guys think he is.
-
just for reference, here is a pic of a smaller bear in roughly the same spot.
-
heres another pic of him
-
I'm thinking about 180ish,
Wheres BTKR?? :)
-
i'll reserve my guesses for later, as I know where my cams are set and how far away this bear is when the pic was taken. also i have seen this bear live and in person. and i will tell you right now he is bigger than 180ish. but like i said, i'm just curious about the guesses. also if anyone wants to know where he is pm me and i'll tell you, as don't hunt bears anywhere near where my cameras are set up. after looking at the last 2 months of pics, maybe i should though
-
I'd give it 230-250 lb. He is very long legged. And since someone is baiting at your cam, You wouldn't want to hunt there anyway.
-
I'm baiting for good pictures, with apples. i have an endless supply of apples and i hoped to get some good pics of deer and elk, but the bears keep eating all my apples. i put deer chow in the bucket, but the bears ate the deer chow and the bucket. since the apples are free, they don't get any more deer chow.

A bit lanky-about 200, nice lookin bear.
-
I am 200 lbs and he looks a little bigger than me. I think he is 225-240. Once his belly grows into his legs he could put on another 50 by winter. Maybe more if he continues to eat all your apples.
-
220 bigger in a couple of months
-
not sure if this is the same bear, but if it's not, he looks decent too
-
I am guessing 190-220 right now. A 220-250 bear by fall.
-
190-200 lbs?
I am no expert though.
-
230-250 gonna be a dandy when he fills out. Mark
-
Solid 180 Jstamp, pushing up to 200. Good picture!
-
is it just me or is there two bears in that last one?
-
I would take him in heart beat, love your pictures thanks. 260-280

Right around 200 based on overall size, but a good coat always adds bulk making them look bigger.
-
200-215

Its tough to tell by the pictures, he might go 200# but I really think thats on the big side. In about a month put him on the ground and prove me wrong ;)
-
my guess was 250-280. The camera is 6ft up in an old snag and he is about 20 feet away when pic was taken. i also watched the bear feed from about 200 yards away through binos. he does have a great hide, and a big track. i know i have at least 5 different bears coming in. I won't be able to shoot him to give accurate weight. i have hunted in that area for deer for over 10 years and have never seen a bear. there is too much brush and jack firs to really make it a good bear hunting spot. also i don't want to come under fire for baiting bears, since i put apples out. i would rather go to my usual bear spots and spot and stalk.

another pic

-
