Dang JJ I can’t believe you passed that, but good on you. I passed several 19-22” bucks in Montana, and just the week I was there at least 2 of them hit the dirt. Didn’t you have a trip to AB this year too? Maybe I missed the thread but would love to hear a quick wrap on your experience up there

There you go speaking truth again🤣seriously though, you hit the nail on the head in your first post. You can't bank bucks for the future. Between humans, mother nature, migrations, wolves, cats, bears, etc. there's just no guarantee they'll survive another year. But sometimes they do so unless it's a buck that just really tickles a guys fancy then roll the dice and let em walk. Good on you for sticking to your guns.

I have several bucks I hope to see next year . Not worried about hunters in my Idaho spot it’s winter and predators that do the damage on themI got my eye on a few.
Same here ,not to worried about other hunters.
Most the seasons are closed around here.

Beautiful buck! Almost looks like someone shot at him with a small caliber and just clipped his left antler.

We find dead deer and elk killed by cats not covered up. The most recent kills were 3 sheep in one night. I think someone was learning how to kill, they weren't covered either.

pretty sure he made it through. Hard to say. This buck lives at my place all summer and vanishes before he gets hard horned every year. Typically get a few pictures of him in December. He will graze the plot and drink water but never once has he touched any bait. Been watching him for 4 years now probably longer but didn’t notice him until 4 years agoI’m just hoping this year I will get to meet this guyThat's a good one.
Maybe a stud next year.

I'll setup a few cams on game trails and stuff,100 percent won't get the volume of pics from the past. I'd love to show HW these bucks as they got bigger this year. Probably won't happen since I'm going with all new spots and no bait.

Recently pulled this cam,lockbox removed,no bait left.
Like I was never there.
The buck ,unsure if he made it. No pics of him after the date on pic.
The cat ,it made it for sure. Since all the seasons was CLOSED.
