PathfinderJR just sent me this. Can't really say where he is or what he's doing, but he spotted a shed while training last week and when they gave him a day off he hiked out and got it.From the looks of Jr. you got some good help for packing out game when you need it! Dad can carry the rifle.

In theory, you're right. In real life though he's been "unavailable" for the last three years. I think we'll get him back in about a year though... ;)

Finding blacktail sheds always amazes me. It’s almost always so thick
It is, i go weeks or even months without anything. Where I am at right now is a pretty small area, and i would say 75% of my blacktail sheds have come out of it. The big problem with a day like today is it's dark under the canopy, and the fresh ones are so dark they blend in. A lot of times it's just the pedicle that catches my eye.

Well nothing fresh today but I do think I found the same side from the same deer, just ~2 yrs older :dunno:
Wow dude that’s pretty awesome. I’ve found 1 black tail shed and I thought it was rib bone when I kicked it. Those are good finds!

I had three bucks I watched over the Summer/Fall that were 150 plus, he is definitely one of them. I'm really hoping my pups find the match for this one.

Finally found my first blacktail sheds. First find was a nice fork set. Found a cool 3 point the next weekend. Have only found one fresh brown two point shed so far, but in two times out in the same area I’ve come up with 7 sheds total.
Awesome, what elevation you working around? Not trying to ask to much, just saw the snow in the pic so I assumed it was higher elevation.

All were found between 800’-900’. It was right after that lowland snow. I went out yesterday to the same area and couldn’t turn up a single shed. I spent half the day trying to find the match to the 3-point but no luck. Lot harder to see them with no snow. Or I just already found the “easy” ones in that area.

On Thursday I had a two point mule deer still packing his passenger side.The WT I've had on winter cams ,lost antlers by February.
That buck pic I posted in ,did your big buck survive the season.
I looked all over for a hour or so,no luck.

Mom finally found her first shed. Gave up looking after trying for a year with no luck for her, the "guys" in the family kept finding them first but kept hiking around and basically stepped on the thing. Pretty funny how stoked she was.
