Title: Early Hoof problems ?
Post by: Rem14 on January 12, 2025, 02:27:44 PM
Just ran across the photo of the feet of the deer  my dad shot in the late 70's. Was taken in GMU #651, Satsop, Grays Harbor, Mason counties.
It was just a spike. My brother and I gave him a bad time about shooting an invalid. We said the deer didn't run because it had snagged it's toes in the blackberry vines. Other than the long toe nails I don't recall seeing any hoof rot. Was going to Taxidermy into some gun racks but my freezer went bad and they were thrown out.

Slipper foot.  Maybe too rich of diet?
