Title: Smith & Wesson 19-4 info?
Post by: treefarmer on February 17, 2025, 01:48:15 PM
Looking for info on a pistol I’m thinking of selling   Been looking on the usual gunsites and I can’t seem to find one similar to mine, nickel plated with a 6” barrel. Lots of variations of 4” barrels.  Not sure if I have a rare one or just bad at internet sleuthing?

Not sure what information you are looking for?
Made from 1957-1996 when the 6” barrel stopped being made.
-4 was 1977 and the first year the gas ring was moved to the cylinder.

Pretty much a fair value for upcoming sale.  Thanks

Blue book of gun values grades 19-3 and up variations together. 90% is $525 , 95% is $750 . Nickel doesnt add a ton of value. Not as common but not super rare.

From looking at recently sold on Gunbroker I would say $600ish.. :twocents:
