Thoughts? All of the prominent anti-hunting lobbyist groups have already expressed their feelings are hurt.

Commonsense pick. Rare actually to have a state F&W Director become a USFWS Director.

:yeah:
I like the pick.

Rare? Who was the previous director?

Judge the effectiveness of his picks by the reaction of the libs!
Praise for Nesvik wasn’t universal. He isn’t a sound choice to be making the decisions about what comes next for grizzlies and other species, according to one hard-line environmental advocacy group.
“In Wyoming Nesvik led one of the most anti-conservation wildlife agencies in the country, and it’s glaringly obvious that he wants to destroy the Endangered Species Act and with it our best chance of fighting the extinction crisis,” Center for Biological Diversity Deputy Director of Government Affairs Stephanie Kurose said in a statement.
Sounds like he nailed it! :twocents:

Curious to see how quickly they are able to move to eliminate the north cascades reintroduction and delisting of grizzlies in the Rockies.

Wouldn't that be awesome
Seems like a solid pick ....

Another agency needs to go the way of the Do Do. States did better without them in the way.

Wouldn't they be the agency to actually move wolves to Colorado? I know Colorado voted to reintroduce wolves, but usfws would do the trapping/transporting.

Martha Williams was Biden's USFWS Director, she previously served as the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Director. Prior to Williams you'd have to go over 40 years back before another state director became the USFWS Director.

No. It's a state run op.
