What do you guys do to to keep your cameras from disappearing. I found that if i put the camera down low
on tree and put a few ferns under the straps. I also found a mylar ballon so i put it in the same trail a few yards down the trail and tied it to branch. i had 4 people walk right by the camera and in every video they are looking at ballon.
any other tricks you guys use.

move where there is nobody hunting :chuckle: I have only had 1 stolen since the beginning of trail cams and 1 sd card taken. I rarely see people on my cams

The Problem is if someone really wants them they know how to defeat everything on the market. when it comes to tactics the normal lock box, python cable, padlock, lag bolt (but that messes up the tree if its alive) mount up high out of reach, multiple cams looking at each other and of course cellular/ live cams to where you may get a picture of them. this is currently about all there is to help prevent someone from being a dirt bag. at least what I can think of

I agree both statements above.
More miles in ,middle of nowhere, off the beaten path better off you'll be.
Battery operated power tools have definitely changed the game.
No lock, cable, lockbox,or any amount of security will keep your cams safe. Just not gonna happen.
It only takes one person to find it,after that it's pretty much only a matter of time.
After someone finds it,it's a risk/reward deal.
You can pull it,with the information you collected on the area,or leave it and not get to upset when it's gone.
With the new bait ban, seems a lot of good game trails will most likely have more cameras and people.
I've even had people steal the salt block a few times, five dollars worth of salt. It's ridiculous.
