Title: Salvage of roadkilled BT deer now legal in all WA counties

Cole on May 18, 2025, 05:54:45 PM: Don't think my petition had much to do with it (though it might, who knows), but I've heard from folks in WDFW that the rule change took place yesterday, the 17th! Now legal to salvage roadkilled blacktail (though possession of Columbian WT still illegal as per federal law, AFAIK) throughout the entire state. Good news, even if very small! Makes me think of a quote from Peter Marshall: "May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right."

It was technically illegal in Clark, Cowlitz, and Wahkiakum due to the Columbian WT.

Clark, Lewis, and Cowlitz, I believe prohibited collection of roadkill deer. Columbia whitetails were the reason, all 4 of them.
