Pretty stoked. Have a buddy with a place in the unit and a few others that offered to go along. That right there is just as important to me as any tag out there

Posting on here for my dad as well, drew Bull Moose Aladdin A Early. Looks like we might be switching our bear plans in August to a scout/hunt.
If anyone has experience in the unit and willing to share, please reach out. We will definitely make a couple scouting trips.

Son drew West Goat Rocks goat

WA state oil’s on Facebook has a lot of people willing to help tag holders! I know because I made the page! Check them out!!! Only good things on there.

Son drew West Goat Rocks goat
I drew it in 2000 when East & West were still together. It's an awesome hunt. I put on over a hundred miles on the hiking boots before the season even started.

Congrats to all those successful that posted above!! Those OILhunts are something special.
Mines technically not a OIL, but I drew sheep ewe in Lincoln cliffs/Whitestone unit. Based on the odds less than one in 2,000 I’ll call it OIL.
Mostly private land so I’m going to need to do a lot of research and potentially get some help.

Nothing for me as usual. But my son drew an early huckleberry moose tag! Can’t believe I get to go moose hunting again! We are going to make it a family event and at least set a camp up for the first week.

Doesn’t sound like you could get much better than a family camp and moose hunt for a week. Congrats!
-
Honestly, I think I’m more excited that he got it than I would be if I drew it. He would have tagged along for a weekend if it was my tag, but we are now going to be there for at least the first week and then he should be able to get out of work for either a few three day trips or another week at the end if need be. My brother ( who has proven to be a moose calling master) wife, and my son’s girlfriend are going to come for the first week.

Good luck to all.

It's been 10 years since I drew. I can tell you exactly where I was when I saw the "selected" and who I called. It still feels like a dream.
Congrats to all the lucky hunters.

Buy your tags fast. I got an Email confirming the draw and if you wait till after July 1 the tag goes up to $458. We will definitely be calling and paying for my sons this next week to make sure we don’t have any issues and get hit with the increase. We will be in the Huckleberry unit for the early tag so if any of you 49° north guys see Bulls crossing out of your unit into ours let me know!

Unless you are over 70 then the price goes down July 1. My dad is waiting to get his moose tag till after 1 July as it will save him almost $200.

I bought my goat tag yesterday and took my identification test. It was kind of a surreal moment, and I can't wait for it to arrive in the mail.
