Recently started getting back into fishing after about a 13 year break due to life when we had kids… well I’ve jumped in head first and can’t believe how addicting walleye fishing is! We’ve been doing alright and progressively catching more each week. Caught 21 on Saturday. Anybody care to share some tips/tactics?

Did some walleye fishing a couple weeks ago. Man they are good eating

Next time you make fish tacos try this green salsa. Soooo good!
• 5 tomatillos
• 1 clove garlic
• 2 tablespoons cilantro
• 1 avocado
• 1 Serrano peppers
• Salt and pepper to taste
Toast/char tomatillos then blend all ingredients.
This is a half batch. It makes 1 medium squeeze bottle worth.

Nice catch! I’ve been out chasing them here and there every couple weeks. We’ve been getting over 10+ a trip. For a while we couldn’t get out of the little ones size has definitely been improving. Where you launching out of?

Walleye are fun! I could fish them for days.
If you aren’t marking fish you probably will catch less. Keep moving until you find them.
Troll slow. Use really sharp hooks. 2 is better than 1.

I enjoy catching walleye too... my suggestion is what you are already accomplishing, catch them and make fish tacos... no more to add

That is a hog. Mid-teens? I've put a LOT of hours in walleye fishing in WA, OR, Minnesota, and Manitoba, and haven't gotten one that big. Good for him!

Always wanted to try... new to fishing on the eastside.

Fish sandwiches on a potato bun. Fresh tartar and sliced sweet onion! Don’t forget about the wings and cheeks.

Never fished them but a fishery I've always wanted to try... This is getting me motivating even more.. and Carl's salsa recipe is legit, a buddy makes some very similar and gave me a few jars. Awesome on fish tacos.. and eggs

Thanks! We guessed mid- teens. We took my buddy's boat on that trip and I forgot my scale and tape measure! Rookie mistake!
