Title: Billionaire Jody Allen funding the anti-hunting movement in Washington state
Post by: Firstgenhunter on August 15, 2025, 05:45:55 PM
What does Jody Allen, billionaire philanthropist, heiress to the Paul Allen Microsoft fortune, and owner of the Seattle Seahawks, have to do with the rampant anti-hunting plague that has afflicted our state? Let’s break it down.
For the past several years, opportunities of Washington hunters have been under constant attack by anti-hunting organizations and fish and wildlife commissioners acting as mouthpieces for these organizations.

The group leading the way is Washington Wildlife First, a non-profit organization that credits itself with ending our spring black bear season, its aim to “reform” the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. This group has become known for its attempts to drastically reduce hunting opportunities for cougars and black bears, with their intense focus on the unmanagement of large carnivores, and most recently their frequent communications with the WDFW Commissioners named in the Sportsmen’s Alliance Petition and the recent investigation ordered by Governor Ferguson.

Claire Loebs Davis, Executive Director and President of Washington Wildlife First, also runs Animal and Earth Advocates, a Seattle based law firm that frequently litigates with WDFW over wolf-related issues and has a history of legal representation of various other anti-hunting non-profits.

Through her virtually under the radar philanthropic non-profit, WildLives Foundation, Jody Allen has likely been the largest funder of Animal and Earth Advocates and Washington Wildlife First, providing over $1.8 million in grants and payments for independent contracting of professional services to these entities since 2020. After learning of this funding, we find it laughable every time our efforts are called out by Washington Wildlife First as “dark money,” well funded, out-of-state trophy hunting extremism. It couldn’t be further from the truth. Every time these groups make accusations like these, there’s likely a hint about what they’re up to.

Stay tuned for more information about the funding history of the WildLives Foundation to other anti-hunting and anti-fish hatchery interests.

What’s new?  Even when Paul was still alive he gave millions to take our gun rights and to ban the importation of trophies from out of state.

I’ve never bought anything Seahawks just for this reason. I still cheer for them but they won’t get my money to spend on their causes.

When you are a blue state, it will attract every low life liberal with money to waste to show up to influence elections and policy makers.  BUT who is really to blame? The "Voters" are!  To stupid to see what years of voting in Dems and Marxist in does to a state!!

I see this morning that the ferry Wenatchee is out of service, quite the track record!!!

It's Paul Allen's charity foundation.  Paul set up the instructions for which charities he wanted the money to go to.  Jody is just the executor of the estate.

This is the same Jody Allen that was caught smuggling animal bones and tusks back from her safari in Africa.

Jody hates the public light(unless its good pr) the hope is that this will put pressure to cut off funding from WWF. This was a pretty well kept secret so I'm sure they're pretty mad now, I spoke on it this morning at the meeting. From what I know, WWF is struggling internally pretty badly and I honestly see them going away in a year or 2. I love the Hawks, I really do and I feel it could be a good year for the team. But its pretty rough knowing Jody is behind it at all, she's the one wanting to take away our heritage and destroy the system. The team is full of amazing players, coaches, and hundreds of staff and employees who keep the organization running. The organization does a ton of awesome work for communites in the state.  they don't know that she's doing this. I'll watch the team this season, but Jody being behind it all is going to be on my mind.
