I blew out the sole on my Meindles and need new boots asap for Wyoming mule deer hunt. I leave on September 9th and worry if I order online that I will not get them in time. I know I will be limited with break in period but it is what it is. I live on the Olympic peninsula and no good options out here. Any recommendations on stores to hit up around Seattle or Tacoma that have solid boots like Kennetrek or similar boots. Thank you

Cabela's in Lacey, Bass Pro in Tacoma, Sportco in Fife... I've seen some decent boot in Wilco's as well... Several of those around... Gotta be more on the way... Good luck!!!

Call sportsman warehouse
I went there with 0 luck. I need wide boots. Thanks

Find somewhere that sells Crispi. They are great boots and almost never require a break in period. I am on my 4th set and love them. I wear them for work as well…..most comfortable boot I have ever worn.

Head to the REI store in Seattle, they have amazing boot fitters on hand and a fantastic selection to choose from.

Meindl delivers pretty fast. I think you would get your boots in time even with the holiday. Call and talk to them. They are great to deal with!
-
I would just order Meindl but Sportco has Crispi and Bass Pro has Kenetrek. My last boots were Meindl I just bought Hanwag online when they were onsale. A few hikes of 4 miles and no issues with blisters or discomfort.
-
Just be aware that Meindles quality has gone downhill. Talked to my cousins in Canada that swore by them and won't buy them anymore don't last a year. :twocents:

If you're driving through Bozeman on the way you can get boots from a few makers.

Jerry's in Forks carries some Hoffmans, not only caulks if I remember correctly.
Thriftway there sometimes has Kenetreks on hand as well.

Hasn't been my experience. But the guys I work with that all wore kennetreks have been switching over to Crispis because the say the same thing about Kennetreks :dunno:

Scheel's in Meridian has a solid selection of good boots, easy to get to off of I84 if you're going through Idaho. Their store in Missoula is smaller, but good too. It's a little ways off I90 though.

I had good luck with a pair of Cabela's Iron Ridge. Very economical as well (around $175 now). The "nubbin" soles while different worked very well on a variety of terrain and were easy to get the mud out. Any Cabela's or Bass Pro.
Couple years ago I went to Thorogood Infinity FD. Amazing comfort. Bit more $ (around $250 now) but cheaper than many. Would have to look up a retailer.
Couple different insulation options on both.
IME any bonded on sole will eventually fail, but only after serious miles.

I would call Kennetrek on Tuesday tell them your story. I would be surprised if they couldn't/wouldn't hook you up in time. :twocents:

Started off with tatra tops, and have been wearing my trapper tops more lately. Love them both so much, I've boughten new pairs of each while on sale, for when I wear mine out. Absolutely amazing comfort and quality in these boots.

Update!! I stopped at Bass Pro and Cabela's yesterday as I had to go to the airport and I ended up buying a pair of Irish Setter Elk Trackers. I really wanted to get a pair of Crispi boots but didn't want to gamble with not being able to try them on. I am pleasantly surprised with them so far but I only have 2 miles on them so we shall see. I appreciate all the replies on this topic.
