Title: Testing the waters *backyard bow stand*
Post by: gutsnthegrass on September 01, 2025, 05:02:35 PM
Hey all,
Just checking to see what someone would be willing to to pay for one of these. This one isn’t complete as it will have a couple “beverage holders” on the risers where the empty tee’s are at. I got tired of laying my bow on the ground while retrieving arrows. It could be painted any color as well. I’m thinking side hustle…

Thanks!

I use one  piece of rebar in the ground with pvc over it for bow hanger and orange cones for arrows, one set 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 yards from target permanently set up

Good idea and nifty little stand. To answer your question id say $40-50 if I was going to buy one. You may be able to get more  for them commercially, especially if all painted or dipped.

Shipping as one piece may be pricy and impact your bottom line or hurt sales.Possibly breaking down to fit in a larger tube or standard flat rate shipping box may make it worthwhile.

Good luck on garnering interest and let's see that finished prototype when cup holders are installed!

:chuckle: I have $85 just in material. The damn fittings are expensive…

I figured it was not going to be cheap with all those fittings. But it’s durable, and will last a long time if not left out in the elements, as one time build it would be worth the cost for a do it yourself project.

Measure all your pieces and create a cut list, put them and the fittings in a professional looking format, maybe on a few slides in a PowerPoint on how it goes together with a full buy list and sell the plans for $15.
I doubt anyone is going to pay you anywhere near or over $100 for a pvc stand, but selling the plans could make you some money.

I made one like it. It's pretty handy.

Unfortunately there are many options out there for less money than what you have in yours for the parts. Great DIY project but not really a good side hustle.

Don't paint it. It'll just cover your bow.

You need a tray for tools.
Allen wrenches, etc
