How did everyone’s opener go? I know where I was at in upper Columbia basin was more birds than normal. My first opener on ducks since 98’, I think my only waterfowl opener besides today. Got our three man in about 35 minutes (got set up late and really pretty dark), being super selective and not overwhelming the partners dog. 21 gadwalls and decent shooting by my partners, but I was on the struggle bus. Pup did fantastic and no lost birds on the day.

Awesome. Thanks for gettin this season started. Heavy on the Gads. Usually get a dozen for the season here on the coast

Tried to hunt the Chehalis River today, but the boat parking lots were full of fishermen, ditto the river itself. Figured there was no way to set out a string without being very offensive to others trolling past, and was home by 10. Dog's not happy at all. Perhaps later in the year things will thin out a bit.

Father and son limit here in Snohomish county. All teal except for one pin and a mallard. Insane amount of people out...went again this morning and ended up with 4 which isn't bad for the day after...minus 20 boats at the launch :)

That's really sweet that you invite them over for a swing.

We had a pretty epic opener over on the eastside of the state. Back to back 6 man limits.
day 1's take was 22 wigeon 17 mallards and 3 drake woodies
day 2 not exactly sure what the break down was. It was mostly wigeon, way less mallards and no woodies on day 2

Definitely didn’t have any trouble spotting ducklings all summer long in eastern Washington this year. Definitely was surprised not seeing much for youth season pics full of dead ducks this year.
