1st time in almost 16 years since I shot a deer with my old man with me. He came out to Helena and visited for the week. Had a reservation for a BMA ranch today to hunt. He tagged along for the day. Shot this buck at 300yds about 12pm pushing does and running off smaller bucks. Didn’t want to pass him up with my dad there. 63yrs old and still getting after it. It was a good day for us today. 11 total miles hiked today.

Sometimes it means more due the company with you no matter what the size of the animal is. One of my smallest bucks holds a place in my soul because it was the last with my grandfather. Congratulations!

That’s great! I spent a week with my dad in Montana this year. We did just shy of 50 miles in 7 days and he’s 73! If a person can stay healthy you can still do it later in life. I hope I’m still going like that at his age. He works hard to stay in that kind of shape all year. Congrats on a nice buck!
