Title: My 2025 Montana Buck
Post by: robescc on November 21, 2025, 05:29:40 PM: It was a tough hunt in NE Montana this year for us. We saw LOTS of deer but all the bucks were only one to two year olds. I was finally able to find a mature buck on Wednesday evening. He was chasing does hard! The first shot was at 710 yards and he didn’t even care he was shot. After running 3/4 of a mile to get back on him, I was able to get the kill shot at 502 yards. It’s always a fun trip but this year was definitely the hardest.

Before you naysayers start in about the yardage, this is open country with little to no cover to get closer. I also trust in my equipment and practice for those shots.
