I just pic up a ruger blakhawk 357 just would like to know if a guy could put a scope on one.
-
You can scope a blackhawk. Just need some ruger rings and a scope.
-
ypur going to need a mount to i think bsquare makes one
-
so will it would have to be drilled ? or do you use the rear sight.
-
I was thinking, The blackhawk I had was a hunters model and the others I have handled might have been too. I went to rugers website, it looks to me that the other models arr not set up to put rings on. I dont think you can put a scope on all of them with out some smithing. Check out this link, about page 27 or 28.http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/PDF/InstructionManuals/10.pdf (http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/PDF/InstructionManuals/10.pdf)

the top one requires you to drill and tap the bottom doesn't (i think)

My old man has one on a super blackhawk 44, think its made by B-square? the rear is secured by the rear site screws, the front has a clamp that is secured around the snout. not very skookum, came loose too often so he scrapped it.
