Title: Yakima/Ellensburg area bow shops...
Post by: Kanooper on July 06, 2009, 09:59:15 PM: Anyone know of any good bow shops in the Yakima or Ellensburg area? I drew an archery elk tag in the area and want to be prepared with somewhere to go in case something funky should happen to my bow while I am hunting.

I've been to both shops and Mike is friendlier and knows more than the guy at AS&J and Grizzly Archery has way more stuff and better prices. But, AS&J has better hours.

Post by: halflife65 on July 07, 2009, 12:34:58 PM: The guy at AS&J is a pretty good guy once you go in a couple of times and he starts to recognize you a bit. I went to his 3d shoot a few weeks back and talked to him and he sort of loosened up after that. His name is Brandon, I think.

He drew an elk tag and will probably be out during elk season - at least part of the time. You might want to call down there and ask him.

Post by: sandythebowtotenmama on July 07, 2009, 06:00:03 PM: Brandon-AS&J is open M-F 12 noon till 7 pm, Sat. 10 am-4 pm. But he hunts also so call ahead about 2-3 weeks to see what his hours will be during Elk season.
Mike-Grizzley is usually closed during elk season.
Both are nice guys, helpful, we try to give them equal bussiness.
