Hey guys my trail cam took this picture of a deer on the same trail and near where I found a 4 point blacktail shed back in Feb. Is this a buck or a doe? I think its a buck due to the white throat patch? Any ideas.

this picture was taken in feburary it says on the photo so it couldnt have had horns yet. Im gunna say its a buck. looks like one anyway. :dunno:

Shoud be sign of antler base in my opinion :twocents: Mark

Looks like a doe to me-bt bucks usually have a meaner lookin face with a black brow, but who knows-could be a young one....
-
By the way- does have throat patches too ;)

I agree, I don't see the antler bases in any of the pics.

Posibly a doe, don't see the marks from where the horns were.
-
I vote doe. Do you have any other photos of the tarsal glands? That would tell you for sure because late winter they are still large, dark, and quite visible in photos.
-
I vote doe. Look at the second picture. See how rounded the forehead is. A buck will have a flat forehead.

Thanks for the input....my search continues.
