Title: cost for hair on hide tanning for deer and elk?
Post by: NW-GSP on July 09, 2009, 11:03:12 AM: Im hoping to get a deer and elk this year and am going to want to get both of the hides tanned with hair on hide but I was just wondering how much its going to set me back?

Post by: Buckmark on July 09, 2009, 11:17:56 AM: Not sure where you are located but Quilceda leather in marysville does all of mine, about $75.00 for a deer hide hair on and $16.00 per sqft for elk, figure about 300-380 for a elk hide... Good luck. hope you get 1 of each..

Im hoping to get some antlers this year but It is my first year for archery so we will see, Im not going to be too picky, If a big doe walks of opening day for deer shes going down, Im just wanting to give myself more time to get an elk.

Is that for a "Soft Tan"?
