I'm no expert, but this guy claims a certain score on his bull and it sounds a bit high to me. Tell me what you think he scores and I'll reveal his scoring claim tomorrow. ;)

Big enough to take home? :dunno:
-
335"ish
-
326"
-
343"
-
340 class
-
high 340's. Is that part of an arrow he is holding?
-
That bull might be a little bigger than he looks. He has awesome length all the way out. I might be crazy but I am gonna throw 348 at this bull. Looks good to me
-
335-340
his right side 4 and 5 look a lot bigger than the left side...thats a decieving picture...got any more pics?
-
320" Net
-
i think he's real wide...
nets are for fish.
-
327"
-
319
-
Those tines look awefully long for only a 320...Im gonna say 355...His mainbeams look pretty good also!! Hard to tell in the pic but 355 is my guess!!!
-
354 7/8
-
Pictures always make an animal look bigger or smaller depending how you set up the photo, rarely does a photo accurately show size. I think this bull has really good tines, all of them, even the thirds are good, not a lot of mass but good tines. All the tines look 2 to 5 inches longer than a typical 320. I guess anywhere from 340 to 360 gross, depending if the photo makes him look bigger or smaller.
-
Throw some mass on that bull and you almost have buckluckys bull... But probably with a little more width... I'll say a guess of 346" gross... ;)
Michael

I would rather hear the story on the bull?
-
I thought 330 before i looked at everyone's guesses so I would say I am close with that.
-
First thought 315 gross.
-
348 gross --- Pretty nice bull....
-

I take that as an insult, wheres the tine length on that bull. Looks short to me. :chuckle:
-
320
-
340-350 the hunter looks like a big guy , not a flattering shot, g4's look short . I'd drill him any day.
-
340" bull. Pistol and bloody arrow must mean Idaho, or at least not WA? Any more story? That's a heck of a bull for a bow kill no matter where it was.
-
I'm w/ bearpaw...340-360" hard to tell with one picture and the angle. definitely no weak spots on that bull but unfortunately nothing super strong either.
A really good classic looking bull.
I guess my official guess is 347 6/8"
-

They got some curvature much like your bull's don't they? I think its a deceptive picture, but I don't think he's horribly far behind. We'll see when the score is posted today! lol

The problem I see with that bull is one side is weak and the other side is strong. My score of 335, which I posted earlier, is based on the weak side. Will be interesting to see the actual score.
-
It's tough to tell. I think the guy is tall? 6'4"-6'6"? The Bull looks like he has 50 inch main beam's. Nice tine length but no mass. I will say 345. I would also like to see the measurements.
-
After further review, I must up my score a bit to 330ish. Looks to have about a 40 inch inside, close to 50 inch beams, going with 49 each, the fronts look to be around 14ish same with the thirds, Hard to tell on the swords but Im going with 17 and the fifths are about 12-13, below average mass. Lets see what that adds up too ;) Good bull for sure especially if it was a general season bull. I hope to find one like him this year.
Well after my calculations it is a 321 bull, those were a little conservative on some? Mass can throw it off, real light mass can make tines look alot longer than they really are. I'll go 330 though.
-
Ok, time to let the cat out of the bag. I'll remind you that I don't know this guy and I'm not interesting in slagging him. I was just curious whether his scoring claim was on the high side as it seemed to me. Here is the only information he provided along with the picture.
he went 380 as far as mass the picture does not do him justice 22 1/2" 4's, 19 7/8" 3's, 12" bases, 52 1/2" mains
left whale tale 26 1/2" tip to tip, right 25 7/8" tip to tip
My guess would have been pretty much in line with what most of you are saying, maybe 330 class. Do you stick with your original scoring guess? :dunno:
-
i think he's about 52" high...looks like he's measuring the 6's where he shouldn't be. i'm a guesser though.
left whale tale 26 1/2" tip to tip, right 25 7/8" tip to tip
that or i don't know what he means by this measurement here...
-
The guy is standing above the horns, always makes then look smaller. :twocents:
-
380 seems far fetched to me, but possible
-
I would have agreed with 350 since pictures can be decieving but 380?? I dont thinks so. Could be I guess but man, looks like a 330 bull to me. Show me a picture on the hoof ;)
-
Right measurements Wrong Bull!!! :bs:
-
This Bull grossed 380. 60 2/8 and 56 7/8 mainbeams.
-
380 :liar:
-
nice bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;)
:hunt2:
-
I.m not sure about 380 either, the rack didn't have that much mass, everything usually needs to pretty good to get 380's. Sliders bull has better mass, that's the big difference I see, however he is down and behind the animal, always makes them look bigger. If slider stood between the horns upright, they wouldn't look as big as these photos.... :dunno: :twocents:
Both bull are extremely nice no matter what...
-
cant be 380" :bs: :liar: :crap:
-
if that bull is 380 that dude is 7' 15"
-
339"
-
cant be 380" :bs: :liar: :crap:
I agree. Someone is telling hunting stories after having several beers I think.
-
What is the history of past stories your friend has told you.....is he usually accurate or full of it? :dunno:
-
he says it has 22-1/2 G4's....
here's a 23-1/2 G4, doesn't look close to me????
still a great looking bull though.
-
im no good at scoring elk(or anything else from a photo for that matter) but i dont see 380 here, bucklucky what did your bull score? high 370's if i remember correctly? this bull doesnt even look close to yours let alone bigger than yours

I've never met the guy. I found the pic and information on a different forum. The topic title was "Look at my bull". Now I realize the bull had a double meaning. ;)

No just 370 man, A little under.
-
still if that bull scores better than yours buck then that picture really doesnt do it justice im not a believer
-
340-345
-
The bull is much better on one side than the other. But with very generous guesses on the tine length the best I can come up with on the larger side is around 164-168 the smaller side appears to be 8 to 10 inches smaller the third is at least 5 inches shorter on the short side. so if you say 166+156+42 inch spread you get 364. I think he took the larger measurement for each tine and doubled it and then used the base as the first scoring mass measurment to get to 380. I would like to have him score my bulls. :) :)
-
I just found this thread today, but I would have said 340s at the most. Maybe pushed to 350 if that guy is huge. It's a great bull though.
-
i think a lot of guy's use the base for the H1 and the main beam for G6
-
If he got 12 inches at the base he had the ear in there also!!!...........................LOL

just a minor oversite.

the main beam for the g6 is what i thought he was doing wrong.
