Title: Slick Trick Standard or Magnum
Post by: bowhunterforever on July 13, 2009, 07:46:05 PM: I'm gonna try Slick Tricks this year which one should i try and why? The standard or the magnum? Thanks

Post by: JPhelps on July 13, 2009, 07:51:35 PM: I shoot the standards and love them. I looked at the magnums but do not like the blade angle which could result in deflections as well as planing. This is just my observation and is not backed by field testing.

Post by: Crunchy on July 14, 2009, 10:45:59 AM: Ya I switched to Slick tricks this year, after shooting G5 Strikers (didnt like them) and Muzzy (nothing wrong with them). I havent shot them just yet but will in the next week or two and see how they fly.

Post by: jackelope on July 14, 2009, 12:11:40 PM: nothing specific for me. i got them and tried them, like i said they fly just like my field tips, they kill animals so i use them. thats all. if it ain't broke don't fix it.

polarbear may be using the slick trick magnums...not sure.

I am planing a guided hunt in New Mexico next year and most the guides recommend that type broad head for better penetration, so I figured I would try it here first see how they workout. :dunno: :twocents:
