Hey everyone, just registered today, been looking at the site for awhile now, great pics, advice and fun. Us outdoorsman have to stick together...even more so in todays world! So first question: Im shooting a Mathews Reezen set at 62 lbs using gold tips right now but am probably going to buy some Easton N-fused shortly. Any advice on what broadhead will fly the best with this setup (and do the most damage on an elk)?

At only 62 lbs. you can drop clear down to 372 gr. if you want. I use Thunderhead 85's and a total of about 400 gr. for the arrow/broadhead since I'm shooting about 66lbs. Works great for me, dropped my moose with it last year so it will work with anything in Washington.

i would recommend looking at magnus snuffer ss awesome broadhead that flies great

sonic heads have always done well for me and my buddies. Used to shoot ultimate steels, but they kept coming apart inside the animal. Sonic's flew like target heads at 7/8" cutting diameter and killed both deer and elk quickly.

been using thunderheads for about 20 years, had very good luck with'em.

my hunting partner and i just started using slick trick standands,i could not believe how well they flew! they flew better than montecs.we shot a group so close to each other they cut off vanes on 2 arrows at 60 yards. and at $27 per 3 isnt to bad.montecs cost to much and are not that sharp, strikers the blades became loose. tried sonic heads and they flew good, dont know about toughness, angry spike guys used them and cory said one broadhead bent at the shaft.hope this helps.feel free to message me.

gotta agree with grousetracker - slick trick broadheads are awesome. I use the 125gr magnum's

I use the slick tricks with my easton axis arrows shooting 65# 29 inch draw they fly like field tips great broadhead and the price is nice too you could also check out shuttle t locks great head the new carbon express f- 15s are a great head the fly great a friend of my is shooting them this year and cant what to see a blood trail in Idaho with them

I've been Using G5 Montec 100 gr. for several yrs' last night. they fly great out to 70 yards. but last night I got the urge to buy and try out a few pack of 100 gr. Grim reaper Hades Broadheads. A lot of my Forum friends use them and they are less expensive than the Montecs.

thanks for the info. I've been using muzzys for years with my old bow but they really never have flown very well, definately not like my field tips. Think Im gonna give either the G5's or Slick Tricks a shot.

i killed an elk with a sonic 125 and the broadhead mushroomed out like a bullet inside the elk. i dont like that. i shot my bobcat with a montec and it was still good when i pulled it out of the tree behind. i have been playin with shuttle t locks this year, they seem to fly good for me. had good results with magnus stingers and buzzcuts also.

+1 on the Magnus Stingers. I have a pack of NAP Hellrazors I may shoot to see how I like them.
