Can totally picture your set up Northwest75, sounds like a pretty sweet set up. I've never hunted a ground blind, I have heard they work pretty good though. Good luck this season. Mike

i'm gonna repaint it more inline with Predator.

Do you guys put out a blind early even on public land? I am thinking of setting mine up a day or two ahead of time, but I don't want to leave it out there too long.

I just got the Predator Den blind from Cabelas. I'll be trying it out for deer in September.

I'm to paranoid that some scumbag will steal my stuff. I live on a strict Budget and I truly can't afford to have my blind or other stuff stolen. So i pack it it early on my back or on my little carrier. After set up. i spray the blind inside and out with hunters Specialties Scent away fresh earth cover scent.

I have hunted out of a ground blind once. Here is my question...(not to hijack this thread) that fits perfectly into this topic. What in the world do you do to see your sight pins? My pins were totally dark, as there was not enough light inside the blind to light my pins (evening hunt). And we all know that Washington does not allow electronic devices. I have a Trophy Ridge, that you can put in the "light stick", needless to say it did not make any difference.
I use the .19 single Pin Angular Star track Slider from Vital Bow Gear. The brightest sight i've ever used. It keeps its glow 30 minutes past Sunset. It only takes a little light to bleed through the blind to brighten up. I've never had a problem with that. But the Primos ground max Predator blind has a triangle zipper at the top for light or air to pass throguh. But that would make you more visible to your intended target.

Are you useing the tophy ridge sight with vetical pins?
if so, that could be a big downfall for hunting from a ground blind.
the problem with the vertical pins is that when you are in a spot darker then where you are looking (such as a ground blind) your pins, turn into a single pin rather. with horizontal pins you will still be able to make out each individual pim even if the fiber optic isnt glowing.

For the last few season i've been Spot and Stalking both private and Public land near GMU 133. Starting this Spring I bought a primos Ground Max in predator for 200 Bucks. A lot of room!. I am partially Disabled, So the weight would have been a issu. So i converted a Golf Bag Caddy and Camo Paited it and it now carries a small round cooler, Blind, Chair, and my bow. Works great.
Thats a great idea!!!
