I'm new to this site, a Washinton site should be pretty interesting.
I had a pretty successful year with the bow this year.
I shot a nice 6 x 5 bull on opening day in September.
I shot a Coyote, the 1st I've killed with a bow, in November
In December I shot my Blacktail, kind of a unique buck, a 4 x 2 :dunno:
Here's a few pics of my year.

Congrats on harvesting a bunch of great looking animals. :)
-
Beautiful elk. I'm new here also, I kind of like the idea of a WA only site .
-
Well done Coon, congrats on a very successful year. Where was your bull taken?

East Lewis County, I hiked in about 5 miles into the high country.

Congrats on a successful year. Thanks for throwing up the pics and sharing. Welcome to this site. It's a good one.

Great pics. For not being able to chase late season Muleys I'd say you had a pretty good year anyway. :) Congrats on all the harvests.

Spectacular season Coon, not only did you get them on the wetside, but with a bow. :brew:

Great year. I saw your deer post earlier. I really like the color in your coyote shot.

That was a GREAT year. A coyote with a bow is something to be very proud of. Oh, and the elk was nice too, ha ha.

Congrats to all on very nice kills, I have only managed two does so far this season here in Maryland, season doesn;t end till the end of Jan so I have my fingers crossed I can fill the freezer even more, last year I took 10 does and 1 three point.

We dont like hearing that kind of stuff out here since we have to draw for a doe tag, you may get the tag in two to ten years, and you can only shoot one deer a year.
Anyway, congrats on your hunt!
Hey, how many pounds of meat are you getting off the average doe back there?
-
Most does are around 100 pounds live weight, after you bone them out you'll get maybe 30 to 40 pounds of meat. i know all about the doe tags, my first year hunting in WA we drew doe tags up around Colville. We hunted near Peterson swamp. The reason for the high bag limits in Maryland is they did a deer study here this year and a healthy deer herd is 20 deer per square mile, where I hunt and the surrounding counties it is over 170 deer per square mile.

Holy smoles, that a lot of deer. Yep, I am jealous. I would love to be able to hunt a bit longer, and score a few more deer. But, I should not complain, my freezer is packed solid with wild game. Thanks for sharing.
