I've tried unsuccessfully to get a contact person or page to find out what it would take to get some maps for the upcoming early Archery Elk hunt. I went to the Weyerhaeuser Home Page and found a Email page which I then launched two separate Emails under categories "Environment" & "Timberlands" in the U.S.".
Will I have to go to a regional office and pick them up in person or can they be obtained somewhere else ? :dunno:
Thanks for any help guys.

I recently bought a Weyco St. Helens Tree Farm map at the gas station in Kid Valley. To be honest, the map isn't that good. It covers such a large area that there is little in the way of relavent detail like road numbers. I have a DNR public lands map for the Mt. St. Helens area and it is way better. You can get the DNR maps online or at the map office in Tumwater.

Arnolds maps in Vancouver has county maps, and they have all the weyerhauser roads on them.
-
What lands are you wanting maps for??
-
I'm looking for maps to give me a good layout for Winston, Coweeman, Toutle, Mossyrock etc. Pretty much the Mt. Saint Helens Tree Farm area.
-
Check with Bob's in Longview. They have a great selection of maps.

I'm not sure, but I think the map sales office closed down.

Thanks Huntbear,
I got a feed on that from a friend recently and I also heard back from Weyerhaeuser on my second Email to them that included that contact. Bob's will let me buy via phone from 9-12:00 daily for $6.99 a piece and he said the Mt. Saint Helens Tree Farm would include all those units I talked about earlier. Do you by any chance know of any online sites that I can browse ?

Cool. Thanks for the link. When I read your message about map sales I was thinking of the Olympia office...........I was reading too fast. :P (supposed to be working).
Anyway, I didn't know they had that office in Tumwater. Thanks.

Where I got my St Helen's maps.

The gas station in Toutle also carries the latest saint helens tree farm maps, but the really aren't that good. Any unit that has large plots of state land in it will not have road numbers marked on the Weyco maps only their roads.

I got mine at the gas station in Toutle, also.

Arnolds Map Service in Vancouver, Wa is the best place to find any map you could possibly want and if he does not have it he can get it and ship it if you need Phil runs the place now and is a great guy. He is a fellow hunter and took the place over from his dad as his dad is getting up there in age now the phone number is 3606957897 they also have a website at www.arnoldmapservice.com have not checked the site out so I can not say how helpful it is but he can certainly help you . Hopefuly this helps. All the company info is on page 78 in the hunt regs.

The best thing I could do when I hunted to Toutle was to get the Weyerhaeuser map (from gas station in Toutle) and also have the DNR Public Lands map. Also, go to "Go Hunt" on WDFW's site, and print out some maps of the particular area you are hunting, on 81/2 x 11 paper. You can do them with or without the aerial photography, roads, streams, etc. I make up several custom maps this way. It's good to have some with just the roads as it makes the roads easier to see. Then have others with the aerial photography so you can see where the timber is and where the clearcuts are.

Weyco St Helen's Tree Farm Maps in Toledo at the Short Stop (76) or NAPA.

I to was wanting a map of St. Helen's tree farm so I went to Sportsman Warehouse in Lacey and bought a gmu map of that area. I was impressed with how detailed it is almost every gravel road is numbered. the crappy part is, is that St. Helens tree farm is closed right now because of fire danger and if your like me and wanting to hunt it on the 8th it's not looking to promising. :'(

Not sure for around marysville,wa.... I got mine at the store in montasano,wa

Kind of late in the season to be getting maps....early archery starts in a couple weeks.
I'm thinking you might not need a map due to road closures. The forest service map does include some of that area but not very well.

Thanks guys for all the help. You have been a plethora of information ! All we need now is some more rain

So far the only road that's open is the 4200 clear up to the mountain on the 3000 line. Been checking my cameras every week for the last month and getting some nice bulls. Will go in and pull them this monday before hunting season.
Pic of one I got last monday.

I get all my maps from green trail maps they are pretty good. here's the link http://www.greentrailsmaps.com/home

My hunting partners bought maps this year, at the Toutle gas station. And we think Weyco printed or updated there maps, because theirs are not as detailed as mine. I have one of the older maps and it has all the roads on it. The new ones just seem to show the mainlines.

You dont need maps of this area, just follow the dust trail of the millions of hunters in front of you :puke:
