Some more photos from this archery hunt....hunting was extremely tough, rained nearly every day, record rainfall this month....too many huge waterholes that are usually dry or nearly dry....but we managed to get a young goat.

Saw a few of those myself on my little adventure this last week.  Nice pictures.  I was thinking it would be fun out trying to stick an arrow in one.

Great photos. Have been up shooting ground squirrels near Loring. Lots of goats there too. I like that archery goat. Can't wait for Wyoming goats this October. Thanks for the photos to get my mind back on track.

Well guys it was the toughest goat hunt I have ever been on, normally archery antelope is a 100% opportunity hunt, everyone usually has plenty of opportunity. Last year only one hunter did not get a goat, but he missed six. On this hunt, we saw plenty of goats but 2 guys were not able to get close enough for a single shot, one guy missed a couple long shots that normally would not have been taken, and only 1 lucky hunter out of the four had a close shot which he fortunately made the most of.

Two days we couldn't even get to the property due to extreme mud, and there was water everywhere, goats were drinking out of puddles anywhere, we spent most of our time trying to belly crawl goats, but amazingly we all had an absolute blast and made the most of a tough hunt.

Wow, it felt so good to be back out hunting.....bear starts over here soon and then I'm busy until the end January. I will post a photo or two from time to time.
