So im taking scout trip to Marshel for ML season for elk on friday after i go bear hunting in Whiteriver (653)...has anyone been there before or is it not even worth the trip? Plan B is to go back down to Coweeman(550)

theirs some access but its a crowded hunt for elk. there is a few super secret spots but im not telling you where they are since its where i'll be this year

yah its pretty crowded on the public land during muzzy season but if you get off the road quite a ways you wont have a problem getting into elk.

 It's Mashel GMU, the Mashel river forms one boundary of it. It's a good area, but if you haven't had time to scout it, it might not be the best bet, takes some learning.

You really need to scout hard. most elk are on privet grounds. I was born and raised out side of Orting good honey holes but really hard to get permission. good luck
