Title: Walla Walla/Waitsburg pheasant and quail populations this year?
Post by: cabin308 on August 28, 2009, 06:23:35 PM
I haven't been able to reach my uncle in Walla Walla to see how the upland numbers are looking this year.  Anybody heard some news?  If I hear from my uncle I'll put up a report.

From the birds that were seen during whaet harvest, I would say the numbers are average for this year.

Thanks, as I said I haven't heard yet but he's gotta be harvesting now, too.  Was it cold rainy weather around spring time hatch down there for you?  Fingers crossed for good hunts.  Nada for quail the last two years though.  The brittany's are sensing it's getting close!

I'm hoping for good numbers of birds as well. I'll be taking my brittany to Pomeroy for a week in November for pheasants. Maybe a couple more weekends over there too, if I can scrape up enough money for gas.
