Thanks to you I am now broke, but it is worth it lol.
Got the APA Boa from his shop during his 50% off clearance of 2008 bows. Just tonight I got the rest of the equipment I needed and was finally able really shoot it. Great deal as I am totally equipped at just $100 over the original price of the bow.
However, I have already lost $11 on my investment. Was getting the 20 yard pin set up and was shooting at separate circles not to chance damaging an arrow. On my third shot I, for some reason decided to shoot at the first circle again and CRACK! Walked down and it was straight down the center, pulled a Robinhood. Second arrow was just fine so only lost the one.
Going to spend my lunch breaks and evenings getting it dialed in and also the walk through course outside of Astoria.
Had nothing but great service at the shop!
And no, if anyone is wondering, I am not new to archery and yes I am hunting with it this year.

Ya gonna go broke shooting like that.

Took an extended lunch today at the archery range and though I didn't ruin an arrow, two arrows now need some fletching work.
Got my pins set up, broadheads are flying like field points, did part of the 3d course... bow is ready to go.

After stopping by a few other shops last fall, I ended up buying my bow from them too. They always seem to treat the folks that walk through the door equally.
I was there a couple months back when an older guy came in with a bow that looked about 20 years old. Given I replaced a Bear Whitetail II last year (~20 y/o), I was glad to see he brought it in to ask them to look at it. Apparently it was his sons and he wanted to try archery and see if this bow would work. I forget the guys name behind the counter but he spent just as much time with that guy as he did putting a new rest on my bow and helping me get it paper tuned. He knew he wasn't going to make a big sale or anything but he still gave the guy time until all the questions were answered.
Great bunch of guys and the "techno-hunt" is pretty cool too.
Those arrows are awesome -- I bought a dozen a couple of months back when I changed my rest and it seemed like my groups tightened up a bit. Probably a mix of the arrows and the drop rest and removing the WB.
