Title: Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle
Post by: Sportfury on September 02, 2009, 06:59:11 AM
Does anyone know anything about Pedersoli Kentucky rifles? One of the guys I work with was cleaning out the garage of his girlfriends house, so she could move and he found one in .45 caliber. He gave it to me today to look over and maybe take to Cabelas to find out the value. After a quick review it is missing the nipple, has some rust on the barrel, small ding in the wood, and it looks like it was fired and never cleaned as the barrel inside is all rusty. Just wondering if the condition makes it worthless or could I clean it up to firing condition?

There is some rust on the exterior, but not to bad. Looking down the barrel you can see rust in the lands and grooves and where the nipple was located you can see a lot of rust where the threads are including that portion of the barrel. Other than that one ding on the wood and the brass just needs to be polished. Not sure if it could be cleaned up enough to fire though.
