At least out where I went the action was real slow. Anyone else get any birds? :guns:
I think I needed more rain where I was :dunno:

We had a poor morning, filled with mistakes and other guys setting up right in the way, and arriving late during the magic hour. Really pisses me off, when some boat of yahoo's comes slogging thru when the ducks are in the air. They sleep in and ruin it for other guys who got up on time. ( Two meager ducks...) We had plent of rain, Grays Harbor County.

3 of us shot 16 in 2 hours this morning, could have finished out the 3 limits but had other obligations and had to pack up. I was up near Lynden, lots of birds flying, it was a good day.

We got 6 ducks and a goose this morning.

My ponds were froze and I had work to do at camp anyway.
That evening I went to moving water and only seen one duck a mile high. From what I could hear you had to be in the right spot. Seemed to be feast or famine.

Weather was too high down this way. Saw lots and lots of ducks, but they were all a mile high. Waves of groups of 30 to 60 birds. The swans came in of course, and saw one speck with a group of swans, but he was just out of range after taking a look at our spread >:( Oh well, it was good to get out there and be cold for a couple hours.

The Spokane Parks Dept and Fish and Wildlife had something on TV last night about all the ducks in the city parks. I guess there is going to be some kind of adopt a duck program or something like that. If anyone knows set me straight. Any way I was telling my wife I'd like to adopt about 4 dozen... :P

Adopt...like take them home? or like the adopt a highway program?

I put the sneak on a small group of geese and got 2. Lots of ducks flying today in the area and was happy to finally get a couple birds. We will see what tomarrow brings...i will post pics later...Justin

Took the kids out Wed afternoon and early Thursday. Didn't do much shooting but the weather wasn't bad. It started thawing some ice and no snow but I bet the ice cover the ponds again.Wished we would have seen more action probably hit it again with them next week if my nerves can take it. It's winter break. It's hard for an old man with two young ones, trying to make sure they have everything they need. Then when we get back to camp me trying to rest and they aren't. I'm going to make sure they have a tv and movies next trip.
