Whats everyones opinion on this, I'mhearing reports that it is a great year for horn growth in the eastern part of the state.
-
I've seen some nice bucks running around so I'm gonna say yes.
-
From what i have seen this year, the horns are great. I am seeing much bigger bucks in my regular pots than i normally do. In my opinion this is one of the best years i have seen.

It's excellent all over the West! Should be good if you have the tags. I know we have some really good mule deer located on public ground on both my out-of-state tags this year. Some absolute hogs in W. Wyoming! I have really noticed the horn growth in the E WA whitetails....not so much on the mule deer. Or, should I say, I haven't seen anything over 155-160".......but then again, I've only scouted two days. My old man is being tight-lipped and passing 150's muleys and whiteys with his bow the first two days of season this year, so it must be good! :chuckle:

I would have to say yes also. I am seeing some nice muleys this year. There is a big change from last year bucks to this year bucks. the 1st pic is from last year when he was 18 wide 4 point and the 2ed pic is him this year at 24 to 25 4 point with 5 inch eye guard the second pic was taken on July 16th he is alot bigger now

Well, I can't complain. ;) Seems like the extra moisture or lingering snowpack left some vittles for good growth.
-
I think it is above average as well.

:yike: :yike: :yike: AAAARRRGGGHHH...I WANT TO GO NOW!....another month for modern rifle....... :bash:

I'll join the concensus. I try to gauge antler growth based on what I see on the 2-year olds (raghorn bulls and first-year legal deer). I'd say this year is above average.
