Title: New Lab Puppy
Post by: jmoyer2 on September 05, 2009, 04:46:51 PM: Well I wasn't sure if I wanted a second dog or not. But i went and looked anyways. I was pretty much sold when the little tyke retrieved a pheasant wing at 6 weeks old. :IBCOOL: Hope he turns out ok. What age would you guys start "official training" right now its just fun and games.

I would keep it fun and games untill about 6 months old, then start the srious training.

This is just me though, and i am nowhere near a protrainer, just an beginning amature trainer :chuckle: :chuckle:

Keep it short and enjoyable....do not let the pup get bored or tired of it. Quit early on a good note. Pups are a sponge for learning. If you wait till they are older, you'll miss a good opportunity.
