Well i finally got r dun now i got 2 make a decision on a rug or a full body, this cat might end up costing me a little bit more
-
Congrats..
How about the story?
-
Congrats Duck Thats great. Did you call him in, or spotlight him or track him down. Always good to get a kitty.
-
Good for you!
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, we still got to have the story that goes with the picture.
-
Nice job!!!! That cat would look cool chasing a bird.
-
congrats. that is what i am looking for. did you call him in.
-
That is a very nice cat! How much did he weigh? I would also like to hear the story!
Some advice I'd give you is get him into the freezer or to your Taxidermist ASAP! Bobcats, Fox, and all small mammals have a tendancy to slip pretty fast. Faster than Big Game animals! Why? Because the hair roots on small mammals are a lot smaller than that of large game. Bacteria can eat through the hair roots a lot faster.

Thats a pretty kitty...Im a lil jealous! Nice Job.
go full body either chasing a chukar or laid on its side being lazy.
That Michelle Nelson girl does my taxidermy so she could hook that kitty right up!
-
That is why I wish the F&G would let taxidermists seal hides that came into the shop!
-
im jealous... ;)
-
I didnt realize you could spotlight cats. Definately a easier way to hunt the little kitties. I say go with the full mount.
-
Great job Duck, that's a pretty cat, congrats
-
So what are the rules regarding a bobcat? F&G need to see all of them?
-
I like that bobcat. I would be proud as well.
-
Awesome...... That is atough choice. Full body would be pretty cool.
-
Well done Duckfvr! Full mount would be cool!
-
Awesome! Fun to get one! I got one with lights, and called 3 in the daylight last year, so much fun!
Problem with full mounts is, I've seen WAY more poorly done faces than I have seen good faces. Faces regularly look silly. Try to find a taxidermist with photos of their work so you can critique. Seems harsh, but it's HARD to get a cat face right!
-
Congrats on the nice cat and good story!!!

That is my biggest fear. You are right, cats naturally look silly, then to have someone not get it quite right makes them look real bad. Too much money to take a chance for me I think.

I have seen good taxidermists really screw up cats. I think there are really few that do cats really well.
