Title: Turkey fan plaques
Post by: WildfireArcher on October 01, 2009, 12:29:45 PM
Been makin them for a couple years for my family and friends.  Made of all oak and i can stain them many different colors.  Can make any state you want.  The hole is where i can put the brass of your shot shell. Thought i'd try and sell some..  Check out the pics

Very nice!  The state symbol is a great idea.  I drill a hole the diameter of the top of the beard  up through the bollom of the plaque.  Then i drill another hole hole on the face of the plaque just above the that hole the size of the shotgun shell neck.  This joins the holes in perpendicular fashon.  Slide the bead in just enough for the shell to catch the top of it.  The shell acts like a plug.  Yours look great though!

these are real fancy and very nice. Mine is much simpler. Basically just a piece of finish plywood, stained and varnished. I use epoxy to glue the cured fan to the plaque. I use a round plastic mayonaise lid with the rim cut off for the name plate. I use PowerPoint, a wood grained pattern, and light yellow lettering to describe the hunt, time, location. Picture included.

My mounting plaque is not near as nice.  I drive a nail through it and tack it up to the garage wall.  That is unless I need the fan to put on a Tom decoy.   :chuckle:

Too funny, when someone tells you to man up and pay for your for sale items you remove that part of the post. Good for you. Must have some great integrity.
